Walks through the village are the most peaceful experience. visit our different crops, sports fields, cementery, church and behives. We also organize visit to the nearby primary school and hospital.

Basic Chichewa lessons

Chichewa is spoken by around 41% of the population. We offer basic lessons to learn how to greet, everyday vocabulary and useful sentences. And because practice makes perfect, we encourage you to speak with the locals and exchange your language knowledge with us.

Traditional songs and dances

In rural Malawi, every important day is celebrated with music and dancing. Therefore, to understand the Malawian culture one has to learn traditional dances and songs. Our dancing troupe has rescued these ancestral practices and is proud to share their knowledge with visitors and perform for all audiences.

Traditional Homestead

We showcase a traditional homestead. Understanding how our grandparents lived helps us know where we come from and have better reflections over where we want to be in the present and future.

  • Kungoni Centre of Culture and Art

    Over the years Kungoni Centre has become well known in Malawi and beyond for the excellence of its ethnographic museum (the Chamare Museum) and the activity of the more than two hundred artists who have worked there.

    A community based cultural tourism organization in South East of Salima district is run by the indigenous community since 2004.
